I have configured this machine to save some money by eliminating some of the frills, but there is no compromise in quality. First, I will use a quality case in either the popular mid-tower format or if you are tight for space in a mini-tower case. First of all, this machine get the Windows 2000 Pro operating system. I use BioStar motherboards that have proven themselves to be super-reliable while remaining quite affordable. I will use the Intel Celeron-D 2.4 Mhz processor which run very cool yet is plenty fast for all Windows POS programs. I still use 512 Megs of RAM in this machine because it doesn't pay to install less. I also will install a Maxtor 40 Gig Hard Drive, CD-RW CD Writer, modem, floppy drive, keyboard & mouse. This machine construction is quite flexible and components can be changes to your needs. Price for this machine will be $750 including installation.
